Dr. Dalia Mathan
Born and raised in northern California, Dr. Mathan grew up knowing she was going to be a veterinarian from the time she was 13 years old. She graduated with honors from UC Davis with a bachelors of science in biology in 1982. She graduated also with honors from the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis in 1987.
Her first position as a veterinarian was at Skyway Pet Hospital in Paradise from 1987 to 1990. Then as a relief veterinarian, from 1990 to 1996 she had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clinicians including being on staff at the North Valley Veterinary Emergency Clinic for two years.
Dr. Sue Thompson
Graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Physiology, and then went on to International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA) school and graduated with Dr. Mathan in 1987.
Sue has a diverse interest in SCUBA diving and horse training and is lucky enough to spend part of the year working in the Caribbean. She has had a long term interest in alternative and complimentary medicine and has finished her veterinary chiropractic certification for large and small animals.
Dr. Sue is doing out calls for us in the chiropractic field and providing referral services to other veterinarians in the local area.
Dr. Thompson has been invited to speak at the Horse Expo in Sacramento. Dr. Sue is not exclusive to horses. She also does chiropractic work on cats and dogs with amazing results. Dr. Dan Apple
Dr Apple is a 1976 graduate of Iowa State University. Upon graduation he started small animal practice in San Jose, California. He moved to Paradise in 2014 where his wife, Jean attended school. Dr. Apple started working with our staff here at AHOTR several months ago.
In his spare time he enjoys boating, fishing and working on his property. He is the past president of the Santa Clara Valley Medical Association, and is currently on the board of the Political Action Committee for the California Veterinary Medical Association.
He enjoys all aspects of practice, particularly internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.
